Hartpury Sevens Update: Looking Ahead to 2027
We’re very sad to share the news that the Hartpury Sevens Tournament will not be taking place in 2026.
Due to pitch unavailability at the venue — a situation entirely outside of our control — we’re unable to deliver the tournament to the standard that players, teams, and supporters have come to expect.
This decision has not been taken lightly. Hartpury Sevens has become a highlight of the sevens calendar, and we know how much it means to the rugby community that has supported the event so loyally over the years.
However, while this year’s pause is disappointing, it also presents an exciting opportunity. Taking a step back in 2026 allows us to focus fully on planning an even bigger and better edition of Hartpury Sevens in 2027 — one that builds on everything that has made the tournament so special.
In the meantime, we’re actively exploring the possibility of running an alternative sevens event in the South West region next year. Details are still being finalised, but we’ll be sharing updates as soon as we’re able to.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Hartpury Sevens over the years — the teams, officials, volunteers, partners, and supporters. Your loyalty and enthusiasm are what make this event what it is.
We can’t wait to be back.
See you in 2027.
