Celebrate National Wooden Spoon Day and Support a Life-Changing Cause

Rugby is more than just a game—it’s a community, a family, and a force for good. On March 19th, we’re celebrating National Wooden Spoon Day, shining a spotlight on the incredible work of Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby.

Why Wooden Spoon Matters

Wooden Spoon funds life-changing projects across the UK & Ireland, supporting children and young people living with disabilities, disadvantage, or disenfranchisement.

Over the past year alone, the charity distributed £1,000,700 in grants, impacting over 113,000 young lives. However, with increasing demand, they were only able to fund one in four grant applications—which is why your support is more important than ever.

Get Involved

From wearing Wooden Spoon colours to hosting fundraisers or playing in a rugby match, there are countless ways to show your support. No matter if you’re a club, business, individual, or community group, you can make a difference. Learn more about how to get involved here.

Join Us at the Corporate Challenge Cup

One of the key events supporting Wooden Spoon this year is the Corporate Challenge Cup on 12th July at Clifton Rugby. This exciting tournament will bring teams together for a day of rugby, networking, and fundraising—all for a fantastic cause. Find out more and sign up here.
