This year, a remarkable 48 teams from all over the UK will join the competition, highlighting its expanding popularity and significance.

The Beach Rugby Tournament in Swansea is renowned for attracting international rugby stars, both past and present. Among the illustrious names are Wales’ Ellis Genge, Richard Hibbard, Shane Williams, Paul James, Ian Gough, Garin Jenkins, and Arwel Thomas. The tournament has also seen participation from Ireland’s Tommy Bowe and New Zealand’s All Blacks legends Jerry Collins and Marty Hollah.

The event is not only a competition but also a festival of rugby, attracting teams that incorporate the tournament into their end-of-season tours or pre-season preparations.

It’s a day filled with camaraderie, team bonding, and fun, making it an enjoyable experience for players and spectators alike. Despite the weather challenges faced during the inaugural tournament, the event has consistently enjoyed favorable conditions, contributing to its festive atmosphere.

This year’s tournament promises to continue the tradition of being a family-friendly event, regardless of the weather. The organizers and participants alike hope for another sunny day but are prepared to revel in the spirit of rugby come rain or shine.
